TRINITY CAFE sits quietly on Market Street in Saint Austell, serving as a welcoming spot for a relaxed lunch or a casual breakfast break. This café attracts a mix of locals and visitors, especially those passing through on foot or by bike, thanks to its approachable atmosphere and practical touches—like dedicated bike storage, which proved handy for cyclists navigating the nearby area.

Inside, you’ll find friendly staff who keep service smooth and genuine, creating a comfortable environment where people can take a moment out of their day. The space feels unpretentious, fitting well with the everyday rhythms of the town. Whether you’re waiting on car appointments or simply catching up with friends, it’s the kind of place that invites you to linger without pressure.

Food-wise, the café keeps things straightforward but satisfying. Popular choices include well-prepared toasties with proper ham and jacket potatoes that strike a good balance of crispy exterior and hearty filling, often accompanied by fresh side salads. The peanut butter toasted tea cake stands out as a simple treat for those after a sweet bite alongside a hot drink.

The menu pairs well with warming drinks—hot chocolate here comes with all the extras, creating a cozy pairing during cooler months. Portions tend to be generous and thoughtfully presented, especially at breakfast where freshly baked granary toast complements classics like poached eggs and bacon.

TRINITY CAFE’s dog-friendly policy adds to its easygoing charm, making it a convenient stop for those out on walks or runs in the neighborhood. Morning and lunchtime hours tend to be liveliest, drawing in regulars who appreciate the straightforward, well-executed food and the casual vibe.

Overall, this is a practical local spot for good, honest food served without fuss. It suits anyone looking for a down-to-earth café experience—whether on a cycling route, a workday pause, or a leisurely weekend catch-up in Saint Austell.

A little gem we found for lunch! Service was excellent and the jacket potato was delicious, crispy outside, a very good amount of filling and fresh side salad. The toasties were also really tasty with proper ham. The cafe is also dog friendly :) highly recommend.
